- Develop efficient and cost-effective transportation routes for the timely delivery of services.
- Optimize routes to minimize fuel consumption, reduce transportation costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Communicate with drivers to ensure they have clear instructions and are aware of delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate the timely pickup and delivery of services, resolving any issues that may arise.
- Schedule transportation services based on demand and operational requirements.
- Dispatch vehicles and monitor their progress, making real-time adjustments as needed to address any delays or changes in plans.
- Stay informed about transportation regulations and compliance standards, ensuring all operations adhere to legal requirements.
- Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
- Address and resolve any transportation-related issues, including delays, damages, or customer complaints.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems and enhance overall service quality.
- Utilize transportation management systems and other relevant technologies to streamline processes, track services, and generate reports
- Stay updated on industry advancements and recommend the implementation of new technologies to improve efficiency
- Maintain open and effective communication channels with internal teams, external partners, and drivers to ensure smooth coordination.
- Provide regular updates on transportation activities to relevant stakeholders.
- Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to transportation operations.
- Implement performance improvement initiatives based on data analysis and feedback.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned, to meet Departmental and Hospital goals and objectives.
- Ensures safety standards (occupational and patient safety) are complied.
- Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed.
- Provides or promotes People Centered Care.
- Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.
- Excellent managing, communication and people skills.
- Map-reading and first aid skills are also important.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Punctuality, politeness and the ability to remain calm under any condition will be valued.
- Must be reasonably fit with normal hearing and vision.
