Purpose and Scope of the JobThe Legal Research Associate carries out operational duties with legal aspects in the hospital. He takes and carries out instructions from the Legal Director on various matters, which may include legal research. He performs problem-solving and legal analysis.Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards
  • Follow up on Law Suits filed by or against Dar Al Shifa Hospital Company.
  • Follow up of law firms contracting with Dar Al Shifa Hospital Company.
  • Ensure that files of Law Suits filed by or against Dar Al Shifa Hospital Company are complete and up-to-date.
  • Update the legal department files and keep the required documents.
  • Assisting the Legal Director in drafting and reviewing contracts entered into by Dar Al Shifa Hospital Company with suppliers.
  • Assisting the Legal Director in searching for the correct legal opinion for all issues presented to the legal department.
  • Ensure that law firms contracting with Dar Al Shifa Hospital Company attend all cases brought by or against Dar Al Shifa Hospital Company
  • Assists in the preparation of legal report/ advice on a wide range of hospital related issues like investigations / penalties against employees.
  • Takes assignments and provides needed reports to the Legal Director.
  • Continues review of all the laws, regulations & resolutions issued by concerned official parties for the hospital, review and prepare a report on them to the Legal Director.
  • Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed.
  • Provides or promotes people centered care.
  • Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.
Qualifications, Competences and SkillsEducation: Bachelor degree in lawExperience: 3 years' experience as a Legal Researcher in any company preferably health care in Kuwait.Licensure: Not ApplicableLanguage: Good command of both Arabic and English Language.Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office Proficiency.Performance Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent drafting skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and on own initiative.
  • Diplomatic and robust personality.
Other Preferences: Candidates who are currently in Kuwait and have a valid transferable Article 18 visa.
