  • Support manager in locating and identifying new vendors of materials or supplies, meet them and negotiate prices, agreements and agree terms of sales which is most beneficial to the company.
  • Understand the impact of your actions on the financial results of the company.
  • Look for effective ways to reduce costs.
  • Timely follow-up on the invoices and submit to the finance department for payment, where ever relevant to ensure smooth payment process for our suppliers.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained regarding quotations, purchase orders, invoices etc.
  • Actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with my team to understand how, together, we can contribute to sustainability.
  • Commit to the high standards of ethical conduct when dealing with suppliers and customers and embrace the IKEA way.
  • Any security breaches must be notified concerned authority and manager.
  • Be aware of all security related emergency response and follow the policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to IKEA supply chain and security policy, and report to concern manager in case of any identified security breaches.
  • Coordinate with Lawyer for making new contracts with suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and reliably on agreed working methods.
  • Good attention to detail and being persistent, structured and accurate.
  • Ability to make things happen by championing flexibility, speed and simplicity.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
