ResponsibilitiesThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
- Count, sort incoming material to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
- Examine stock to verify quantity or conformance to specifications. Store material in bins, on the floor, on shelves, or in containers according to identifying information
- Fill orders or issue supplies from stock. Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
- Compile reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory count and stock records, damage, or shelf life to stock, location changes, and denial of shipments.
- Prepares daily CDRL’s for Inventory, Receipts, Issues, and others as required by the Performance Work Statement.
- Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, using labeling equipment
- Inventory Adjustment articles carried in stock. May determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
- Responsible for Physical Security of Sensitive and Pilferable Items and ensure they are stored in accordance with all Army Regulations and local policy.
- Maintain inventory and other stock records, using computer terminal. Designated according to material, equipment, or product stored, i.e. Retail or wholesale items.
- Maintain USG personnel clothing records
- Receive, store, and sort unserviceable equipment and supplies for disposal
- Ensure that all employees are always in compliance with all established Safety Policies and Regulations.
- Will always ensure safeguarding all Army Property and Equipment.
- Prepare, read, and analyze records and reports within Automated Information Systems - GCSS- Army, ISM (Installation Support Module), and General Stores as necessary to execute routine actions to include receiving, issue, inventory, daily, weekly, monthly, and Annual reports.
- Ensures the CIF’s OCIE Property books are accurately maintained in ISM.
- Responsible for quality, professionalism and timeliness of all Customer interactions regarding, issue, sales, shipping, turn-in and DX to maintain a high customer rating.
- Perform other administrative tasks as determined by the Warehouse Supervisor or at the direction of the Warehouse Manager.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent and well versed in warehousing and storage operations.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait Driver’s License are required.
- Must be able to maintain USG Network access & CAC card privilege(s).
- Experience:
- Three (3) years military experience in warehousing and supply operations desired or comparable civilian experience in Automated Information Systems.
- Skills:
- Must be able to operate material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, man lift etc.
- Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and storage requirements to meet compatibility of products based on hazard class is required.
- Leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor, are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement is required.
- Ability to prioritized responsibilities to handle a demanding workload is required.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is required.
- Advance ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form is required.
- High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed and accurate is required.
- Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook and ALL Microsoft applications is required.
- Must be able to successfully communicate, listen, and understand customer’s requests and or questions
- Must have a Strong Customer Service background
- Must be able to learn and operate current Automated Information systems.
- Clearance/License:
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait Driver’s License are required.
- Must be able to maintain USG Network access & CAC card privilege(s).
- Physical Requirements:
- Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Visual Acuity:
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operates machines, such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach; performs mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
- Working Conditions:
- Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
- Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
- Physical Requirements:
- Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
- Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
