Out-Patient Messenger

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring they took the Queue no.; while waiting for their turn.
• Distributes medication to all clinical areas as per the workflow assigned in the outpatient medication.
• Answers calls coming for the unit during busy times and ensure transfer right information for pharmacists. Messengers are not allowed to provide any information when they receive calls.
• Delivers and receives medications from main pharmacy store and outpatient pharmacy.
• Responsible for expiry date checks as assigned by pharmacist on duty for all items that they receive and arrange.
• Responsible for unit organization and cleanliness and overlooks housekeepers when cleaning shelves in the inpatient medication management unit.
• Delivers or receives documents related to the unit activities as assigned by pharmacists.
• Scans & photocopies documents when needed.
• Ensures safety standards (occupational and patient safety) are compiled.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Direct Reporting Authority.
• Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed

• Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs
