- Ensures compliance to IMS (ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001) requirements by reviewing and updating the department's procedures and documents.
- Responsible for the proper execution of all electrical, electronic and automation maintenance works.
- To work as per maintenance manuals and update these manuals in the light of operational experience and condition of plant equipment.
- Strict implementation and monitoring of preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Strict implementation and monitoring of corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure by spot checks that preventive maintenance inspections are being properly carried out.
- Coordinates with Electrical & Automation Planner regarding work accomplishments, inspection findings and feedback all needed information surrounding operations delay.
- Monitors and reviews regularly downtime incurred during operation; evaluates and determines possible causes of such, and draws plan to minimize or prevent its occurrence.
- Establishes control measures to ensure that all maintenance jobs are completed as per schedule.
- Coordinates with Production Supervisor and Mechanical Shift In-Charge in resolving equipment troubles and decides temporary cessation of operation in order to repair equipment that broke down.
- Ensures that necessary equipment, parts, tools and other supplies are identified and available.
- Conducts quality control inspection of all incoming electrical and electronic equipment and parts.
- Provides Purchasing personnel with all necessary technical information regarding the purchase of materials and spares, when requested.
- Prepares Job Order request of spares to be done by Machine Shop personnel and those jobs to be farmed-out to outside shops.
- Evaluates Electronic Specialists and Electrical Technicians, trains them to be more productive, instills human and corporate values, resolves conflicts and implements disciplinary action.
- Assists Maintenance Planning in the preparation of technical documents, training needs analysis, maintenance procedures, drawing packages and other related documentation.
- Prepares and signs material issuance slips, purchase requisition, overtime permits and shift change schedules and recommends sick leave for ailing personnel.
- Attends operations meeting and cascades to subordinates company policies, rules / regulations, procedures, objectives, amendments in record forms, work procedures and drawings and all necessary information especially those which pertain to the uplift of the company and individuals.
- Develops minimum and maximum inventory level of spares and to reduce maintenance cost through proper utilization of resources.
- To ensure that adequate tools and test equipment are available for personnel to enable them to carry out maintenance work efficiently and quickly.
- To maintain good housekeeping standards throughout his section and ensures that safety regulations are carried out.
- Performs all other duties as directed by his superior.
