ResponsibilitiesMajor Responsibilities:
- Installs, repairs, modifies, and opens a variety of locking mechanisms found on doors, desks, compartments, mobile equipment, safes, and vaults. All employees must have proof of US citizenship, a valid state driver’s license and be eligible for base access.
- Manufacture keys.
- Install lock cores.
- Re-core and re-pin locks.
- Change lock combinations (including safes, GSA containers, electronic locks and entry controls).
- Disassembles locks, such as padlocks, safe locks, and door locks, and repairs
- Replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts.
- Moves lockpick in cylinder to open door locks without keys.
- Conduct inspections upon request on vault locks and safe locks to assist in determining if the safe can be certified for the security level it is to be used for.
- Maintain key and lock logs for buildings, containers and equipment as outline in our contract.
- Maintain records as outlined in the contract.
- Perform preventative carpentry maintenance.
- Perform carpentry services to repair, install, and replace buildings and structures and associated components.
- Fabrication, installation, and repair of items such as wooden doors, floors, walls, ceilings, exterior structures, windows, cabinets, shelves, handrails, bulletin boards, and other hardware associated with buildings and structures.
- Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.
- Work will be primarily indoors but may be outdoors to support various events.
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur.
- Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.
- Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions.
- Task specific work environment training will be provided as required.
- Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests.
- 100% Overseas Assignment.
- High School Diploma/GED and one (1) year additional education and/or experience.
- Must be fluent reading and speaking English.
- This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Must possess current GSA Certified Safe and Vault Technician certification to work on GSA approved containers, vaults, X-09 and X-10 locks, cipher locks, mechanical combination locks, door locks and safes.
- Must be capable of giving and receiving instructions.

- Must be able to work cooperatively with others in a work environment.
