Keep iPad and menus clean before the start of the shift and ensure that the same is maintainedthroughout the shift Check with the manager to ensure there are no large or private parties you are unaware of. Maintain knowledge of daily menu changes, specials, and promotions to inform and engage guests. Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant. Greet guests, guide them to their table, and pull out the seat for ladies when necessary. Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect the table forproper presentation and completeness. Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. Monitor the flow of guests entering and exiting the restaurant, ensuring efficient turnover andminimizing waiting times. Keep count at all times of available tables and the pace of the queue. When immediate seating is limited, record guest name, details, and the number of guests, andprovide guests with the estimated waiting time. Call out the guest when tables become available. Relay messages waiters and Assistant waiters as needed. Keep an eye on the cleanliness of the dining room, entryway, bathrooms, and menus throughoutoperations. Answer the phone in a professional manner. Respond to guest inquiries and assist the team with guest feedback on the QR code. Anticipate guest needs by observing body language and responding promptly to requests orconcerns. Handle complaints diplomatically and escalate issues to management when necessary to ensureguest satisfaction. Thank guests as they leave, check that everything was wonderful, and invite them to return. Say good-bye to all guests, as the hostess is the last impression they have when leaving. Perform end-of-shift tasks, including updating the manager on any outstanding issues andrestocking supplies for the next shift. Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement. Always maintain and follow food safety regulations and norms.
