As a Lead Proposal Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of winningproposals for maintenance and brownfield mainly in production and downstream operations. You willlead a team of proposal/project engineers, coordinating efforts to deliver high-quality competitiveproposals that meet client requirements while ensuring profitability for the organization. This rolerequires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborateeffectively with cross-functional teams.Tasks and Responsibilitiesa) Proposal Development: Lead the end-to-end process of proposal development, including initial clientengagement, scope definition, technical solution design, cost estimation, and preparation of proposaldocuments.b) Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership in assessing project requirements, identifyingoptimal solutions, and addressing technical challenges to meet client specifications and industrystandards.c) Team Leadership: Manage a team of proposal/project engineers, providing guidance, coaching, andsupport to ensure cohesive teamwork, optimal performance, and adherence to project timelines. Set,monitor and follow up on clear KPIs assigned to the team (Hit ratio, timely submissions)d) Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for proposed projects, identifyingpotential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize project uncertainties and ensuresuccessful project execution.e) Client Engagement: Collaborate with sales and business development teams to understand clientneeds, align proposal strategies with client expectations, and participate in client presentations andnegotiations as needed.f) Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates for proposed projects, considering factors such asmaterials, labor, equipment, subcontractors’ services, and overhead costs, while maintainingprofitability targets.g) Proposal Review: Conduct thorough reviews of proposal documents to ensure accuracy, compliancewith client requirements, alignment with company standards, and incorporation of lessons learnedfrom previous projects.h) Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices inproposal development, leveraging feedback, data analysis, and industry insights to enhance theeffectiveness and efficiency of proposal efforts.i) Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of proposal activities, including clientinteractions, technical specifications, cost estimates, and project assumptions, and provide regularupdates and reports to management.
