ResponsibilitiesOur newest opportunity is for a talented Safety Engineer to join our award winning team in Kuwait. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring that the Safety procedures in place are being adhered to and kept up to date with legislation as well as making sure that the processes on site are enhanced as needed to ensure a smooth delivery of the client project.We envisage success in this role to include;
- Monitoring and enforcing standards of safety in compliance with KEO’s Health and Safety Management System and Client requirements.
- Reviewing and inspecting work areas determining potential occurrence of safety hazards.
- Observing and ensuring staff on site always; wear personal protective equipment, use hard hats and protective footwear, operate construction equipment in a safe manner and follow KEO’s safety policies.
- Conducting daily inspections of the projects to ensure compliance and where applicable make recommendations for change.
- In case of emergency determining and investigating the cause of the accident, establish a report and provide recommendation(s) to prevent future occurrences.
- Observing the Contractor's proposed methods to ensure safety to the workforce, the public and other third parties.
- Mentoring and guiding members of the team that hold the role of Safety Inspectors and will especially monitor the site safety arrangements of the Contractor and assess the method statements submitted by him for safe systems of work.
- Issuing instructions to the Contractor where immediate safety measures are required and monitor the works for the safety of the public and other third parties.
- Reporting to the Resident Engineer on all safety and accident-related issues for action and report to the Client, as may be necessary.
- Ensuring that HSE standards and practices are delivered to all parties involved in the project.
- Developing and implementing safety policies needed to reduce accident-related costs.
- Regulating set policies soliciting input from managers and workers.
- Providing training to KEO staff on safety as per OSHA requirements.
